Equity Committee

The Equity Committee meets at least three times per year or more as needed. The Chair is responsible for setting the agenda and reporting back to the local executive. This could include advocacy, keeping up to date on current practices and attitudes regarding diversity, equity and social justice in the global community, act as liaison with under-represented groups within Halifax City Local and seeking ways to encourage inclusion and particpation in the NSTU. The chair will also be the equity liason to the NSTU Provincial Equity Committee and will attend the provincial conference when offered.
