*The Annual Council is the Nova Scotia Teachers Union’s big yearly meeting where teachers from all over the province come together to make decisions about how the union works. Delegates debate and vote on proposals (called resolutions), set the union’s budget, elect leaders every second year, and celebrate the contributions of educators. It’s essentially the union’s “parliament,” where members shape priorities and policies for the year ahead.
